THE CHALLENGE
This established trades business had built its reputation on word of mouth, but its website was not keeping up. The site was slow, hard to use on a phone and buried the services customers were actually searching for. Potential clients arriving from Google struggled to find a phone number, could not see which suburbs were serviced and had no easy way to request a quote.
The owners knew they were losing jobs to competitors with more professional websites, yet they did not have time to manage a complicated platform themselves.
OUR APPROACH
We started with a discovery call and a full website audit, then spoke with the team about the questions customers ask most often. Those insights shaped a simple structure: a clear page for each core service, a service-area section naming the Melbourne suburbs they cover, and a quote request form available from every page.
We prioritised mobile users, because most of their customers search on a phone while a problem is happening. Click-to-call buttons, short forms and fast-loading pages became non-negotiable parts of the brief.
THE DESIGN
The new design uses bold, high-contrast headings, real project photography and straightforward language that reflects how tradespeople talk to their customers. Trust signals such as licences, guarantees and reviews sit close to every call to action, reassuring visitors at the moment they decide to get in touch.
Behind the scenes, we built the site on WordPress with an editing setup the team can use from a phone on the job, making it easy to add new project photos and keep information current.
